Southeast US Photographs

The Southeast speaks to us in terms of a slower pace of life, relaxation, labor, a few unfriendly critters, fishing poles and front porches. For some of us it might bring up thoughts of strife. But more than anything, today, it speaks of a welcoming nature...something that it is a joy to participate in.

Mabry Mill

Mabry Mill is said to be the most photographed location on the Blue Ridge Parkway. No wonder, it is "postcard' beautiful.

Botany Bay

This is not a tree growing from the ocean, but a tree that has been washed into the sea with branches pointing upward. This minimalist view tells us that beauty remains as life winds down.

Leaning Left

Whether you like the draping lines of this print, or you want to make a political statement, this image speaks of a different time. It works very well as a set of three prints with Oak Allee and Leaning Right.

Leaning Right

Leaning Right provides balance along with Leaning Left and Oak Allee (aka Down the Middle). These three images look beautiful together and remind us that we are better together than divided. Sorry, I don't have prints of oaks that have fallen far left or far right!

Oak Allee

Whether you like the draping lines of this print, or you want to make a political statement, this image speaks of a different time. It works very well as a set of three prints with Oak Allee and Leaning Right.

Under the Canopy

This is one of the most peaceful streams that I have had the pleasure of photographing. Here we see it emerge from the forest and turn past us in a series of flagstone steps.

Tumbler

A pleasant little waterfall chute between large slabs of bedrock.

Soco Falls

Looking upstream at an attractive divided waterfall that merges into a single stream.

Fall Filter

The stream falls gently over these rocks in this peaceful and intimate autumn setting.

Carousel Creek

The Carousel represents the joy of coming together as shown in this creek seen where a long exposure blurs the leaves that drift downstream.

Ode to Monet

Painterly lily pads with the canopy reflected in the pond.

Leafy Creek

This beautiful stream descends toward us, leaving evidence of fall along its edges. This print would look outstanding in larger sizes and with the right colors in your home or business.
