SMART PRINT CHOICES
Let's simplify your choices. They may seem confusing and limitless since there are lots of options. There is something within me that likes quality...it was this way with dentistry as well. I chose to work with lab technicians who were highly artistic and clearly not inexpensive. But the results provided were exceptional. While I also offer very affordable options on open edition prints, the goal is to never disappoint.
Here are questions you should ask yourself:
1. Do I want a print large or small that will last many, many years (archival) and have the potential to increase in value because there are a limited number of prints offered?
2. Do I want a print to fill a large wall space with a splash of color, but it does not need to hold value to me in ten or 15 years?
3. Am I willing to risk a print being damaged because it is not protected by a glass or plexiglass covering on the outside?
4. Am I looking for a small print because I like something about it, but the primary concern is low cost.
5. Do you want a lasting art piece that will command attention in your home or business for many years AND look luxurious?
6. Is the print for commercial purposes? Please call to discuss recommendations.
If you answered #1 "yes", then your best choices are photo prints on archival papers (as opposed to canvas or metal). You may then choose to have it matted and framed or you may choose a borderless print face mounted to acrylic (Plexiglass). The framing and matting or acrylic mounting are the major costs with this choice. You will find our color renditions to be nothing short of magnificent.
If you answered "yes" to #2 and #3, then prints mounted on aluminum or canvas are your best choice. Of these two, canvas prints are lighter weight, but colors are more intense on aluminum backed prints.
If #4 is what you are looking for, choose a smaller size from our selection of open edition prints.
If you answered yes to #5, choose a large archival print in a beautiful frame or select an archival print face-mounted to acrylic.
Signed Prints
Honestly, most photographers do not sell hundreds of prints of a specific image. You may put value on signed prints based upon the popularity of the artist and the number of prints available. All of our prints are signed by the artist. Limited edition prints are also numbered. Most archival prints have signatures in the whtie margin. If we have matted the print, the signature and border will be displayed inside the mat. Prints on aluminum, canvas or face mounted to acrylic will be signed on the image and numbered on the front or back.
