PHIOTOGRAPHY INSTRUCTION
Every month the Photoboomers section of this website has at least one article on photography instruction. As much as possible, these articles are arranged in a sensible learning order. The articles may be categorized as follows:
GEAR - these are basic articles. They do not go into the all the differences of equipment. For example, they will not compare two similar cameras head-to-head. But they will lead you to do further appropriate online research after you have narrowed down your decisions.
USE OF GEAR - Knowing your equipment before you go out in the field is essential to good results. These articles will give a few basic tips. There is not substitute for reading your camera manual with your camera in hand.
COMPOSITION AND LIGHT - Making wall worthy images is a big challenge. The farther along you are in your growth, the more you will challenge yourself to find new ways to compose and display light. These articles are designed to challenge and help you with your growth.
POST PROCESSING - Getting the most out of your images is more than a few adjustments with the software on your smartphone. A number of articles are given to help you achieve better results and be a better critic of your own work.
While the articles and the "Photoboomers" title were originally designed to address the needs of all levels of photographer in the better half of life (e.e. over 50), it turns out than almost all of them apply to all ages and skill levels of photographer.
Here are some of the articles organized by the above categories.
