In previous articles we have reviewed removing spots, removing halos and improving color saturation prior to printing. Distracting elements around the edges of prints can keep the viewer from concentrating on the subject of our print. ISIS TEMPLE

This image was started in January 2023 when I traveled to the Grand Canyon. Then it sat untouched on my computer for 11 months because I had so many other good images from that snowy day that I preferred to work on. Some things other than my body get better with age, as image has seemed to do for me. The Isis Temple sits pretty much in the middle of the Grand Canyon. It is said to be off limits to exploration, but some early explorers described closed off caves. Who knows whether the caves are real, what might be in them or how they might have come to be closed off? In Egyptian mythology, Isis was revered as the divine mother and goddess of fertility, magic and protection.
