FEATURED PRINT

DUNESCAPE #1

When you want to create drama in a minimalist decorating scheme, it is often best to do so with simple curves and contrast. It took some walking and waiting to find the best angle and light on this tall sand dune. Tourists flock to a location very close to this but few ever see this spectacular perspective. I prefer to get away from the throngs to discover a different perspective. It doesn't always pay off the way it did on this occasion.

This print is also available in color. For additional dramatic black and white image visit this page.

To order any prints, state what you are looking for on the contact form.

THE SELECT OBJECT MASK

This is a continuation of the series on using masks to enhance your images in Lightroom and Photoshop's Adobe Camera Raw.

This extremely useful tooL will change the way you edit many images. It may be worthwhile to return to some of your previous edits to improve them with the Select Object mask. Read the article

SWAMP WORKSHOP SIGNUPS ARE OPEN

If you happened to catch the movie, Caddo Lake, you saw how truly beautiful and sometimes eerie this hidden gem can be. This will be my fourth year on the lake with our boat captain.

My crew of photographers had a fabulous time exploring the backwaters of Caddo Lake. This very large lake and its surroundings are home to the largest bald cypress grove in the world. There is so much to explore here on a relaxing kayak paddle or with our personal "mudboat" guides that most of my clients plan to return again next year.

FUTURE WORKSHOPS

All workshops are custom designed for small groups of photographers, usually three or four, but a maximum of six. These workshops are planned around our mutual timing, not just my timing. Because I don't advertise, you save. Because you are with friends, there is more good natured fun! Just the days you want and a very reasonable cost! Request your preferred times early. Offerings are limited each year.

UPCOMING TRAVEL

Our upcoming travel will be limited and local (joshua Tree and surrounding desert areas) until need we need a break from our new digs...likely late spring or early summer when the heat turns up again in the Southern California desert.
